Did you know that June 21st is the International Day of Yoga? In 2015, the United Nations General Assembly dedicated this day because “yoga provides a holistic approach to health and well-being [and] wider dissemination of information about the benefits of practising yoga would be beneficial for the health of the world population.” YogaCare shares this philosophy and lives it every day.
In honor of International Day of Yoga, we invite you to support our work to continue to spread the holistic benefits of yoga where they’re needed most. We are looking for 30 special donors to give by 6/30/17. Any amount is welcome!
$10 can provide cleaning supplies for the yoga mats and blankets at one site.
$25 monthly can support a student’s attendance at a community class in Austin, South Chicago, Englewood, or West Town.
$50 can provide additional bolsters and blankets for existing classes.
$100 a month can support the costs of running Socially Engaged Yoga Network (SEYN), a community that gathers an average of 50 yoga teachers consistently to elevate Chicagoland's yoga community sharing yoga with underserved populations.
$250 monthly for one year can offer a full scholarship to a student in YogaCare classes to become a yoga teacher.
We are also looking for that special donor out there who will sponsor and fund the full cost of operating a community class for one year. If that special someone is YOU, please contact us for those details.
Thank you for being a part of this movement to catalyze the spread of yoga to promote health.
